नवरात्रि के नवें दिन (नवमी) की पूजा माँ सिद्धिदात्री को समर्पित है। उनका नाम सिद्धि (अलौकिक शक्ति) और दात्री (देने वाली) से बना है। वे दुर्गा का अंतिम रूप हैं और भक्तों को सिद्धियाँ, ज्ञान और इच्छापूर्ति का वरदान देती हैं।
शास्त्रों के अनुसार भगवान शिव ने माँ सिद्धिदात्री की उपासना करके सभी सिद्धियाँ प्राप्त की थीं। ऐसा भी माना जाता है कि वे सहस्रार चक्र में निवास करती हैं और योगियों को परम ज्ञान और मोक्ष प्रदान करती हैं।
माँ सिद्धिदात्री को कमल पर विराजमान अथवा सिंह पर सवार दिखाया जाता है। उनके चार हाथ हैं जिनमें कमल, गदा, शंख और चक्र है। उनका स्वरूप शांत और करुणामयी है।
वे आठ सिद्धियाँ प्रदान करती हैं – अणिमा, महिमा, गरिमा, लघिमा, प्राप्ति, प्राकाम्य, ईशित्व और वशित्व।
